Uses
After washing, glassware and small instruments are set in the basket so that water runs off while the items stay together. The same basket can then go into an autoclave with its load, so pieces do not have to be handled one by one between the wash bench and the steriliser.
Polypropylene withstands the steam temperature of a normal autoclave cycle, and its resistance to common reagents means traces of detergent or cleaning solution do not attack it.
